What We Do

Our Programmes

Six interconnected pillars building Nigeria's complete clean energy transport ecosystem — from vehicle conversion to smart digital monitoring, infrastructure to electric mobility.

Pi-CNG & EV's programmes are designed as an integrated system — each pillar reinforcing the others to create a self-sustaining, commercially viable, and nationally scalable clean energy transport ecosystem. Together, they represent the most comprehensive clean transportation initiative in Nigeria's history.

CNG Conversion
Incentive Programme

The Conversion Incentive Programme (CIP) is Pi-CNG's most direct intervention in Nigeria's transport energy mix. By providing accessible, affordable vehicle conversion services across the country, the CIP has driven an unprecedented increase in CNG adoption.

The CIP is now active in 23 states, driving a near 3,000% increase in Nigeria's vehicle conversion capacity — with 337+ certified centres now operational nationwide and targets set for every state and the FCT.

Clean Mobility

Electric Mobility
& EV Integration

Pi-CNG & EV has expanded its mandate decisively beyond compressed natural gas to encompass full electric vehicle integration into Nigeria's mass transit network. The launch of 40 electric buses represents a landmark moment in Nigeria's transport history.

The EV programme is building Nigeria's foundational electric mobility infrastructure — including charging networks, fleet management systems, and the policy environment needed to support large-scale EV adoption in Nigeria's unique operating conditions.

Network Expansion

A functioning CNG vehicle fleet is only as effective as the refuelling infrastructure that supports it. Pi-CNG has overseen the rapid expansion of Nigeria's CNG refuelling network — with 62+ stations now operational across 28 states, with targets set for national coverage across all 36 states and the FCT.

New stations are being developed through both direct government investment and private sector partnerships, with significant private sector capital committed to AutoCNG infrastructure development across the country.

Technology Platform

NGVMS — Smart
National Monitoring

The National Gas Vehicle Monitoring System (NGVMS) is Pi-CNG's flagship technology platform — providing real-time, IoT-enabled oversight of Nigeria's entire CNG vehicle fleet and refuelling network. Pilot-launched in 2025, NGVMS represents a major leap forward in transport infrastructure management.

NGVMS enables predictive maintenance, station performance monitoring, fleet utilisation analytics, and safety compliance tracking — creating the data infrastructure needed to manage a truly national-scale clean energy transport system.

Technician Training
Across Six Zones

The clean energy transition is only sustainable if Nigeria has the skilled workforce to support it. Pi-CNG's technician training programme has trained 1,125 CNG auto-technicians across all six geopolitical zones — directly creating 3,000+ jobs and generating 9,000 direct and 75,000 indirect jobs through training alone.

Training is conducted through accredited technical centres, with curriculum covering CNG conversion technology, safety protocols, workshop management, and quality assurance — equipping technicians for both employment and entrepreneurship.

Renewed Hope
Mass Transit Scheme

Launched during the Yuletide period to provide immediate economic relief, the Renewed Hope Mass Transit Scheme deployed thousands of CNG buses and tricycles into Nigeria's public transport network — offering free and discounted rides to millions of Nigerians during peak holiday travel.

The scheme has successfully transitioned from a subsidised government programme to a commercially viable mass transit operation — demonstrating that CNG-powered public transport can be both socially impactful and financially sustainable.
