Pi-CNG & EV, MOFI, REA Partner Abia on Clean Mobility

The Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG & EV) joined the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and Abia State Government in Umuahia to explore opportunities for collaboration on clean mobility, sustainable energy and economic development.

Led by its Executive Chairman, Barr. Ismaeel Ahmed, OON, the Pi-CNG & EV delegation reaffirmed the Initiative's commitment to supporting the state's transition to cleaner and more affordable transportation through increased adoption of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Electric Vehicles (EVs).

As part of the visit, the delegation witnessed the commissioning of 20 electric buses, an addition to efforts to expand sustainable public transportation and provide cleaner mobility options.

The engagement also highlighted the importance of partnerships between federal institutions, state governments and other stakeholders in expanding clean energy infrastructure, improving energy security and creating new economic opportunities across the country.
