Pi-CNG & EV, Katsina Explore Clean Mobility Expansion Along Northern Corridor

The Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas and Electric Vehicles (Pi-CNG & EV) has opened discussions with the Katsina State Government on expanding CNG and electric mobility infrastructure in the state.

The Executive Chairman/CEO of Pi-CNG & EV, Barr. Ismaeel Ahmed, OON, led a senior management delegation on a courtesy and working visit to Katsina State Governor, Dikko Umaru Radda, on April 10.

Discussions focused on positioning Katsina as a key clean mobility hub in Northern Nigeria, particularly along the Funtua–Gusau–Sokoto corridor.

Both parties explored opportunities to expand CNG conversion infrastructure, deploy EV charging networks and develop local technical capacity, with a focus on reducing transportation costs and creating sustainable jobs.

The delegation also visited Greenville LNG's newly commissioned gas station in the state, an addition to the alternative fuel infrastructure available in the region.
